Hello all, the P51 30" is complete!  Cool

I have attached a PDF File that will automatically tile the large drawing when you print! Note: Just be sure to turn off the scaling option on your printers drop down box and set for None.

I'll start adding info on how to build the P51 over the next few days to help make the build a little easier.

Update! Guys due to the limited capabilities of our Website I had to move the PDF Instructions to the RC Group wesite. Follow the link below.

Warning! Building Foamies can be addictive… So if you find yourself at 3:00 AM in the morning building, and have no clue what day it is… Please seek immediate medical attention!

Have fun guys

I tried a 1000 watts per pound, but the plane melted Wink
I'm currently working on the How to build the P51 and should have it on the site by tomorrow.  Dave you should rejoin the club and start racing!

Ok guys I went a head and produced the P51-R. This is modified version of the one found on the website. This is based on the famous “Strega” Racer and has been scaled down from 30” to a 28” wing which came out great. I also made some improvements to the air frames to help withstand more abuse. Changes include, a carbon fiber wing edge recommended by Glen. Servos have been moved forward to improve strength in the tail fuselage area, smaller air frame and I came up with a way to Monokote the foam without warping the parts.

I’ll test the plane this coming week and bring it to the meeting on Wednesday.

Take care,

Steve

Attached is the P51-R with all the modification added. Note: When you print this PDF out, please make sure you have Scaling set to None!!! or you will end up with a 26 inch P51 instead of a 28". I have attached a screen print to show you where to look on your printer setting.

To test if the PDF is printing correctly, print pages 13-16 the wing area... and tape together. it should measure 28".

Good luck
